— you are a man of simple desires, aren't you?

- Too simple, - Vaeron replied with a weary smile.

-Uh, is there anything here to eat that doesn't contain mushrooms? By the way, we noticed some rather large birds there. I'd say that if we manage to shoot a couple, we could get a good... well, never mind. -Antaer looked at Ringer and waved his hand.

- They are far too simple, - Vaalon replied with a weary smile.

— And aren't you afraid of death? Or do you still want to live?

— Aren't you afraid of death? Or do you still want to live?

- I am. Who isn't? - Va'on suddenly remembered his companions, with whom he had set out on a scouting mission. - Are my companions here too?

“I don’t understand at all who you’re talking about.” The warlock answered this question impassively, but it didn’t seem like he was lying. “Well, are you ready?” By this point, the wizard had drawn a magic circle on the floor with Vaaron’s blood. In one hand, he held a large sapphire, and in the other, an amethyst.

— I have absolutely no idea who you're talking about. — The sorcerer answered this question impassively, but it didn't seem like he was lying. — Well, are you ready? — By this point, the wizard had drawn a magic circle on the floor with Va'anon's blood. In one hand, he held a large sapphire, and in the other, an amethyst.

The road that the stranger had taken eventually led the travelers to Sharshard.

At the city’s main gate, a small guard stopped them. The expedition members were informed that the governor of Sharshard, Demeros Sankersil, wished to see the guests immediately. Seeing no reason to refuse, the princess agreed.
Tsai Yuanji, Wanmu, Dong Shengli, Liu Junmao, James Odd, Eyvind, Citri, and Kenshiro Imai – all these people and non-humans were escorted into the castle. There, at the end of the huge hall, sat a man.

“With whom do I have the honor of speaking?” The governor looked tired and emotionally drained. Princess Tsai Yuanji introduced herself, and Liu Junmao recounted the events of the past day. “So it is. We will talk about this later, but for now…” The man glanced at Citri, and faster than she could react, one of the guards knocked her unconscious with a blow to the head. “Throw this trash into the Dungeon.”
“Governor, what are you doing? This girl is traveling with me and is under my…"
“SILENCE!” The ruler of Sharshard roared at the foreign princess. “Don't tell ME what to do in MY city! Or do you want to sit in the dark without food and water together with her?! "
“Stop this immediately; I am familiar with the laws of your country. Your behavior threatens an international conflict between Illiniar and…”
“Ha-ha-ha! Illiniar? While my city is being devoured by the dead, King Enguir sits in Covellia and doesn’t even think about helping us. Do you think I care about Illiniar? WELL, THINK AGAIN!”
“Do we have guests, father?” A beautiful girl entered the hall, casting an ambiguous glance at James. He had no doubt that he recognized her as the same mistress of the dead that he had seen before, only she was wearing a different dress.

Early in the morning, a swarthy woman with light hair quietly opened the door to her modest but decent home. She didn't want to wake up her six-year-old daughter, but the girl was already waiting for her mother, happily ran towards her and hugged her before she even stepped outside.
- Mommy, I missed you, why did it take so long?
- Laivet, my little bird, I needed to wash myself, – the woman gently pushed the girl away from her. – We can cuddle when I’m clean.
- You smell strange!
- I know…
After washing herself, the woman fed her daughter breakfast, and they sat together on an armchair. The Melchiorian combed her daughter's long hair and told her fairy tales about wild forests and amazing animals.
- Mom, will you work at night again?
- Yes, again…
- Can I come with you?
- No! Absolutely not!
- Why?
- Because children don't belong where I work. We've talked about this.
- Why?
- You'll understand when you grow up.
- Mom, yesterday morning I played with some kids. Elsyl's uncle called him home. Elsyl called him dad. Who is a dad? Other people have them too, but I don't, why?
The woman covered her face with her hands and cried. Her daughter's words reminded her of the past. Of how foolish and naive she had been. How she believed the words and promises of that scoundrel who abandoned her with a newborn child. She was ashamed and afraid to go back, so she stayed in the city.
Nyorva's house came from a kind old woman who took in a stranger with a baby in her arms. The compassionate woman died four years ago, leaving all her property to the Melchiorian. Nyorva spent all the money she earned on her daughter's education. She didn't want her to repeat her fate. Yes, working in a brothel wasn't the future Nyorva wanted for her daughter. When Laivet turned sixteen, she insisted that her mother send her to military academy. Although Nyorva didn't like the idea of her daughter choosing such a dangerous profession, she didn't dissuade her.
Laivet's training was difficult, but she knew what she was getting into, so she didn't complain. Over time, she managed to master the art of archery. But this was not her only passion. There were dirty rumors about her at the academy, but the girl paid no attention to the malicious gossip; she simply did what she wanted. It wasn't that Laivet was promiscuous; she just had no prejudices or remorse when it came to men she liked. All other gentlemen who were too persistent received a kick between the legs. However, soon she had to leave the academy. A romance with a young officer who arrived from another city led to unexpected consequences for Laivet. The soldier didn't believe the rumors about his beloved circulating among the warriors until he personally caught her with another man. The officer did everything possible to get the Melchiorian expelled from the academy. And so it happened.
After this incident, Laviet decided to leave the city and go to the forests of Melchor. Nyorva refused to return there. She had grown too accustomed to life among stone walls. The girl left alone and was warmly welcomed by her fellow tribesmen. After living with them for some time, Laivet realized that forest life was not for her and returned.Laivet earns a living by hunting rare animals, guarding caravans, and performing small errands. After delivering a package in Sharshard, she sat in the local tavern and rested, intending to find some work here tomorrow morning.

- I am somewhat familiar with Ishnadian magic and even know a few things. But I have no idea what you are doing.

— You'll see now. The sorcerer began to channel the energy accumulated in the sapphire through himself and direct it through the amethyst, preparing for a complex spell.
...
When he finished, a young, fair-haired girl lay in the center of the magic circle. She was alive, but unconscious. After that, the sorcerer left the hut to attend to other matters.
— You will die from blood loss or exhaustion within five to ten minutes, — he said before closing the door behind him. — So, what will you choose, life or death, hmm?
The sorcerer left.

- That's her, - James said quietly. - She cursed and took Vaaron. And raised the dead. And killed two of ours. Just don't tell me she's a local princess. Jimmy was sure she recognized him; nevertheless, he decided not to act rashly and listened to the conversation between the governor and the caravan.

— You will die from blood loss or exhaustion within five to ten minutes, — he said before closing the door behind him. — So, what will you choose, life or death, hmm?
The wizard left.

Should I eat a girl to avoid dying? Or use a teleportation spell?

Lol, it's just a port.

Or maybe it's better to just eat it?

Go ahead, try it!

YOU ARE SO CRUEL, REVAN!
