I apologize in advance for creating this topic in this section, as there isn't another one yet, but as soon as a Hearthstone section appears, we will move it there.

Many of our players play this game, so it makes sense that it's time to compete... and test our skills. The World Championship just ended yesterday, where the first prize was $100,000. So there's something to strive for.

We are still far from the level of the World Championship; many play just for fun, and not everyone has strong epic and legendary cards. Therefore, for the first time, we will play without them.

The tournament will be held in one day (which might seem strange to Heroes of Might and Magic players, as it's not a year-long event), specifically next Sunday, November 16, 2014, at 13:00 Moscow time. The tournament format will be standard Double Elimination BO3 (final BO5).

The organizers are Dirty_Player (408722873) and Alexxl (330479702).
Later, Sasha will post the main rules, as he has organizational experience with Hearthstone, so we will trust him.

For now, let's discuss who wants to participate and what wishes they have for the tournament. If there is interest in the tournament, we can make it regular.

Hello everyone, here are the rules for our first tournament: 1. Tournament Registration: - Submit your registration request in this thread using the following format: 1) Your Battle Tag (in the format: YourName#8765) 2) Contact information (link to your VKontakte page/Skype) 2. Preparing for the Duel: - The tournament bracket will be available on http://challonge.com, and you will find the link on the forum. - Find yourself in the tournament bracket (you can use the Ctrl+F key combination for easy searching) and add your opponent to your friends list (using their Battle Tag). - If a player doesn't accept your request, contact them on VKontakte/Skype. - Players have no more than 15 minutes to contact each other and start the game. If, after 15 minutes, a player has not made contact, they will be given a technical defeat. 3. Tournament Progress: - The tournament will be held in a Double Elimination format (single-elimination tournament). - Each player must prepare three different deck classes in advance. - All main matches are played in a Best of 3 format (first to 2 wins). The Final and Semi-Final matches are played in a Best of 5 format (first to 3 wins). - The use of any cards is allowed (except: Epic and Legendary cards. Playing as Warlock and Hunter classes is not allowed)! - Sideboarding is prohibited! - After winning, you must keep the same hero and deck. - After each victory, the player must take a screenshot showing their victory. (While in the game, press the Prt Sc "print screen" key - screenshots are automatically saved to the Desktop). - In case of defeat, you must change your hero (you cannot use the deck you lost with in that duel!). 4. Submitting Results: - The winner writes the score in the designated thread on the forum (and attaches screenshots as proof of victory for the first time). - In case of a technical victory (the opponent did not make contact), this fact is also described in the thread on the forum (we take a screenshot of the attempt to contact the opponent). 5. Force Majeure: - Unsportsmanlike behavior is prohibited (e.g., insulting opponents). The penalty for violating this rule is determined by the judge, from a warning to exclusion from the tournament. - In the event of a disconnect from one of the participants, they will be given a defeat in the match. The opponent must take a screenshot confirming the disconnect of their opponent. If, due to internet problems or other issues, the opponent leaves the duel, you can continue playing with them if you agree. - To confirm your case, you must provide the judge with a screenshot of any situation as proof. *In controversial situations, as well as situations not described in the rules, the judge of the tournament has the final say, and this decision is not subject to appeal. Note: Confirmation of participation in the tournament will take place from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM Moscow time on the day of the tournament on the forum in the adjacent thread titled "Confirmation".

Let me explain in order, since this is the first tournament, we don't know the skill level of the players and what cards each participant has. To attract more participants, we have introduced a restriction on the use of Legendary and Epic cards, so that any beginner can participate and not just participate, but also compete for victory. The restriction on the use of the Warlock and Hunter classes is due to the fact that these classes have excellent builds without using Legendary and Epic cards, and in fact, these classes will use everything, which will lead to mirror and identical battles. We want to see interesting battles with the use of different classes.

It's like saying, "The owner is the boss," but in my opinion, without these two classes, the tournament won't be complete. It's like in Heroes – taking out Fortress and Necropolis, but I'm still interested. I'll get to my computer in the evening and sign up.

Artem, regarding the Rules, we won't discuss them for the first tournament; just accept them as a given. As for prizes, if you're willing to be a sponsor, then of course there will be.:smile03: :smile03: :smile03:

I think limiting the classes was a mistake. I would also like to clarify in the rules whether it is possible to make changes to the decks between games and specify the time for choosing a deck. Otherwise, preliminarily: TakeItEasier #2235

Will there be streams with commentary? I saw how people play, but I had no idea that everyone has their own decks, and it turns out there's also a progression system.
