Well, let's say Petya is revealed as a city defender, and at night, the real defender writes, "Don't believe Petya, I'm not him, and as proof, I'm going to defend Vasya," and goes to defend Vasya. The results of the checks will, by default, be posted with a 95% probability.
Okay, you've convinced me.

An assassin who doesn't leave any clues? I've seen this somewhere before...

For one night or until the end of the game?

Added after 12 hours and 19 minutes
- Preach. Gains the ability to control the actions and votes of a recruited player.
I can clearly see that this will be the third game in a row that ends with the maniac's victory.

And if he recruits Gracia on the 1st turn...

Hotfix: The madman can no longer force recruited players to act on his behalf, but he can order them to refrain from taking any actions at all.
