Patch
Olden Era
For Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, patch #11 (v0.80.31) and a subsequent hotfix (v0.80.33) have been released. The main change was a major rework of Necromancy; skills, map templates, and several important bugs were also adjusted.
Necromancy Rework
- To raise undead creatures, it is no longer necessary to have a unit of the same level in the hero's army.
- After battle, fallen enemies can be manually converted into necromantic energy.
- The energy reserve has been significantly increased, but the cost of raising creatures has also increased – as a result, the total number of raised undead units has decreased.
- Chronomancer has been reworked: now the necromantic energy reserve is fully restored at the beginning of each day.
- The interface for Necromancy and tooltips have been reworked.
Balance and Game Modes
- The base parameters of Combat magic have been returned to their previous values, and some of its additional effects have been weakened.
- "Summon Avatar" has been moved to level 4 and received a cooldown of 5 rounds. The basic avatar now withstands three hits and deals less damage; related improvements have been strengthened or reworked.
- "Connection with the Abyss" now affects creatures that do not belong to Schism, but the effect strength has been reduced.
- Larvae of the Hive have gained more health and explosion damage; their role has shifted towards sabotage squads.
- The chance of luck triggering per point has been increased from 6% to 8%.
- Tournament templates Jebus Tournament and Outcast Tournament, as well as hybrid options Mix and Galaxy, have been added to the map generator. Rotations and the order of template selection/banning have been updated.
Interface and Fixes
- Improved display of Dungeon combat stances, and selected spells are now displayed in the Arena's final window.
- In single-hero mode, retreat has been disabled; explanatory hints have been added.
- Fixed the ability to infinitely gain resources in Temple on the adventure map.
- Fixed alternative attack damage for Dungeon dragons, loading of some saves, and several network game issues.
In the subsequent hotfix, incorrect operation of advanced Combat magic was fixed, additional problems with loading saves were eliminated, and descriptions of "Summon Avatar" and the law "Master of the Dungeon" were clarified.
The complete list of changes in patch #11 and the hotfix changes are published on Steam.
